You are in control of your data. You can delete your entire Cerqa account directly from the app, or remove specific items — such as messages or connections — at any time by selecting the delete option for that item within the app.
How to Delete Your Account
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and all associated data from Cerqa's servers.
- Open the Cerqa app on your device.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll to the bottom of your profile and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Once confirmed, your account cannot be recovered. The following data is permanently deleted:
- Your profile, name, username, and email address
- Your profile photo
- Your connections and groups
- Your messages and chat history
- Your notifications
Some data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before being fully purged.
How to Delete Specific Data
You can delete individual pieces of data without deleting your entire account. To remove a specific item, select the delete option for that data within the app. This applies to:
- Messages — open the conversation, long-press the message, and select Delete.
- Connections — go to your connections list, select the connection, and choose Remove.
- Groups — open the group, go to group settings, and select Leave or Delete Group.
- Profile photo — go to your profile and remove or replace your photo.
